Car park security systems

Many of us use public car parks from days out with the family to doing the weekly shop.

When parking your car in a public carpark you may be concerned about how secure it is and if your car will be safe whilst left there. Almost all car parks states that your car is parked at your own risk and that they will not be liable for theft or damage of any vehicle.

Although this may be the case, most carparks nowadays have CCTV systems installed and maybe even have security barriers. These security precautions can be enough to deter thieves from even attempting to break in to your vehicle. Parking your car under a CCTV camera will allow you peace of mind that should anything happen to your vehicle there is a good chance that it will be recorded. This may be able to be handed over to the police so hopefully they can try and track down the culprit. If you do return to your car to find it has been damaged or broken in to, then get in touch with the security firm or car park attendant as soon as possible to check the CCTV as some companies record over it on a daily or weekly basis.
