The Defence Ministry has issued a last show cause notice to Anglo-Italian firm AgustaWestland for cancelling its contract worth Rs 3,600 crore (556 million euros—Ed.) for supplying 12 choppers to the Air Force for “violating” the terms of its contract. Oshkosh Defense, a division of Oshkosh Corporation, has delivered three Oshkosh P-19 Replacement Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicle prototypes to the U.S. Marine Corps to undergo testing. The Marine Corps selected the Oshkosh P-19R in May 2013 to function the Marines’ off-road firefighting vehicle of the long run. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) and Lockheed Martin have demonstrated the facility of fully autonomous convoys to function in urban environments with multiple vehicles of other models. The demonstration earlier this month at Fort Hood, Texas, was portion of the military and Marine Corps’ Autonomous Mobility Applique System (AMAS) program, and marked the completion of the program’s Capabilities Advancement Demonstration (CAD).
