Latest Norwegian CV90 Is Most Advanced Yet

The first vehicle in an immense upgrade of Norway’s CV9030 armored vehicle fleet was handed over to our customer yesterday by Tommy Gustafsson-Rask, President of BAE Systems Hägglunds AB. The new vehicle fleet has significantly enhanced protection, survivability, situational awareness and interoperability, incorporating lessons learned from Norwegian, Swedish and Danish operations in Afghanistan with CV90. The vehicles will run at the latest rubber tracks, combat-proven by Norwegian forces in Afghanistan. Army introduces four new mountaineering, climbing kits

Soldiers on the Army Mountain Warfare School listed below are slated to receive new equipment designed to enhance their performance and provides them “Spiderman-like” abilities. The equipment is a part of the enhanced Army Mountaineering Kit. The new kit, developed by Project Manager Soldier Clothing and Individual Equipment, might help Soldiers traverse cliffs and mountain faces, and cross snow and ice. The military Mountaineering Kit, or AMK, can assist Soldiers function more effectively in harsh, high-altitude environments very similar to that of the mountains in Afghanistan. Pentagon proposes to shrink US Army to pre-WWII level

The Pentagon plans to cut back the united states Army by greater than an eighth to its lowest level since before World War II, signaling a shift after greater than a decade of ground wars. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel recommended shrinking US forces from 520,000 active duty troops to between 440,000 and 450,000.
