Cybersecurity is important to protecting Army systems from sophisticated attacks on military networks within the face of ever increasing importance of cyber systems. October is National Depression Awareness Month, with the theme “The courage to hunt help.” The Army is looking on commanders and leaders to notify Soldiers, dependents and civilian personnel that depression is treatable, and help decrease the stigma related to seeking treatment. “We are attempting to elevate awareness regarding depression and inspire Soldiers and folks to hunt help. YUKON TRAINING AREA, Alaska (The 5th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, recently conducted a big-scale, joint training event on the Yukon Training Area, Alaska. More than 450 Troopers and support Soldiers deployed to the Yukon Training Area, and transitioned immediately into multiple combat training scenarios. The interim Czech government said it plans to resume its lease of JAS Gripen fighter jets, while a parliamentary committee in Switzerland said yes to a proposed 23 billion kronor ($3.5 billion) purchase of the Swedish-made warplanes. Following two days of discussions of the deal that may see the Swiss military purchase 22 JAS Gripen jets, the safety and defence committee of the Swiss parliament voted 14-9 in favour of the deal.
